We think awareness and action towards environmental issues has to be at the very core of any responsible business. We are taking practical steps to both reduce the amount of waste we produce, and make the most of every resource we consume.
Here are just some of the policies and practices we’ve adopted:
- We control our waste management and reduce the amount of waste entering our premises
- We encourage the environmental responsibility of our suppliers
- We demand the development of environmentally sustainable practices and products throughout our organisation
- We re-process our used vegetable oil
- We’re reducing the amount of packaging entering our premises from source - so we use decanted consolidated deliveries
- We recycle or re-use old furniture by donating to charities or organisations where these products can find a new home
- We work with our suppliers to reduce the levels of chemical fertilisers and pesticides on our golf courses
- We have engaged the Carbon Trust to help us reduce our carbon footprint over the coming years
We regularly review these measures to ensure that we continue to apply the most efficient and up-to-date practices.
